Intex Explorer Inflatable Boat Series Review 2023

The Intex Explorer 300 is a lightweight, compact one-person inflatable boat ideal for calm rivers and lakes. It weighs only 27 pounds, so it’s easy to carry and carry. The hull is made of durable, puncture-resistant vinyl.

For safety reasons the boat is equipped with her two independent air chambers. Even if one room is punctured, she can now float in one room. She also has two Boston valves for quick inflation and deflation.

On a sunny summer day, I took my Intex Explorer 300 out to a quiet lake nearby. It was just me and my cooler and it worked great. The hull glides smoothly over shallow water. Followability in a straight line was sufficient.

Fully inflated to the recommended pressure, the boat felt stable and stiff. It is rated to weigh up to 220 pounds, which is plenty for a solo rower. I had no issues with comfort or legroom.

Intex Explorer 300 is delivered as a complete, ready-to-use package. Includes two 48″ French oars, Intex heavy duty pump and repair patch kit. You don’t need to buy anything else to get started.

Aluminum oars provide great leverage when paddling. A dual-action hand pump makes inflation quick and easy.

It took about 10 minutes to fully inflate the boat. It can also be emptied quickly thanks to the pressure relief valve.

The material that is used is nylon fabric and the weight is only 10 pounds. It’s a decent weight for an inflatable boat. This Intex Inflatable Boat can carry a maximum of 410 lbs.

Vinyl construction is very durable for recreational use, but it cannot be compared to high-end inflatables. Avoid sharp objects and do not overinflate to avoid unnecessary wear.

The Intex Explorer 300 offers a great value for money leisure inflatable boat at a very reasonable price. Perfect for gentle river rafting or lounging by the lake. Performance and build quality exceed expectations.

Just don’t expect it to handle rapids and big waves. Would recommend to anyone looking for an entry level inflatable on a budget.
